A New Year is Upon Us!
Friday, Dec. 31, 2004, 2:43 a.m.

QUESTION: Champagne Anyone?

WHAT I LEARNED: There are many ways to ring in the New Year.

Another New Year! I have some resolutions to work on and some crab dip and champagne to buy. Pretty soon that shiny ball will be dropping as the countdown progresses towards midnight. And then, there we'll be - standing right smack dab in a new year. There's something fresh and shiny about it. It makes me feel that I've got a brand new 12 months to work on even if it's just a symbolic line in the sands of time. It just seems clean and exciting and promising. A new year to unwrap - the last gift of the holiday 2004 season.

Now, for the resolutions - writing them and keeping them.

We arent going to a party. We are staying at home and relaxing this year. Actually, that's what we've done for the last few years. I have bronchitis right now so a little rest is what I probably need. We are rarely game for New Years revelries anyway but still - Id rather not be wheezing and coughing through the start of 2005.

I hope each of you has a great New Years Eve whether festive or quiet. My personal wish for each of you is a wonderful New Year filled with health, happiness, and hope.
