Warm on a Cold Day

Question: How fast are those clouds really going?
What I Learned: You dont have to stand in the sunshine to be warm.
It is a particularly cold day today. The wind is blowing the branches around and pushing all the clouds out of the sky. From the window of my office, it seems especially blue and clear. The sun is shining like crazy in the middle of this windy blue day and as I pass by my front door I can feel the heat radiating through it. When I put my fingers against it, the door is actually almost hot to the touch. I look through the little peephole and see the snow and sky and sun all mixed up together in miniature.
Im reminded that there is a little bit of the summer day in a cold February afternoon something that normally would not come to mind as I am flinging on coats, scarves, and other cold weather paraphernalia. I think it has a broader application to life in general. On those days when there are one too many bumps on that twisting turning highway of life, I just have to remind myself that a cheerful moment can turn up in the most unexpected places.
Now, if I can just find my sunglasses I would really have it together.
