I will keep your Mom in my prayers. My mom had one about 10 years ago (she was about 66) at the time I guess. Anyway, she is still hanging in there. It is a horrible shock, I remember. If you want to share, feel free to email me at [email protected].

So sorry to hear about your mother. Hopefully it was just a small stroke, if so then you can take heart that it was a good warning and she will take the proper medicine and the proper medical supervision to prevent something more catastrophic....Strokes are very scary and having something wrong with you beloved Mother is even scarier..will keep her in my prayers.

My grandmother had a severe stroke last summer- despite the fact that she's also young and in good health. After a long, long time in hospital, she was able to go back home and is still making good progress now. So I can't tell you how much of a good sign it is that your mother was allowed home so soon afterwards... as Paula said, hopefully it was just a warning rather than anything very serious. Best wishes to her, and to you. Thinking of you both.

Oh gosh. Hope everything returns to normal. It's just not fair when it happens to those who actually take care of themselves.
