I loved your entry. Finding an abandoned tree is about the best. We don't do trees instead I use a pointsettia plant and our biker Santa. Of course,for the last three years we've attempted to get lights up along the upper deck and for one reason or another, those lights are not up yet. Now it's beginning to look like they may not make it up this year either. Oh well, falalala.

This was my first year obtaining a tree on my very own. It wasn't painful at all. I love your story about your adopted tree.

Aw, that was a cute story. This year my family got a sort-of rejected, funny looking tree. It was a round, burly fir that looked more like a bush than the traditional, tall, pointy Christmas tree. We gave it some lovin', and soon it was as pretty as any cone-shaped tree.
