QUESTION: What's with the comment spam problem on Diaryland and when will it be fixed?

WHAT I LEARNED: I hate spam more every day.

Has anyone else discovered massive amounts of spam littering up their Diaryland comments? I haven't seen one word about it on the Diaryland news when you sign in but I have been getting mega-spammed for days. I spent hours trying to get it all cleaned out and this morning more arrived.

This is crazy and I don't get the impression that there is an end in sight because I haven't heard back from Diaryland yet. I did just send a note last night - being out of town meant that I didn't even realize it was happening until then. I was hoping for an answer this afternoon but nothing yet.

SO... until this gets sorted out, I have my comments settings to accept only comments from Diaryland members. However, I hope all my dear non-Diaryland pals will leave their comments in my notes or my guestbook, which are still available for your commenting pleasure. Hopefully this will be a very temporary situation.
