QUESTION: Ordinary day?
WHAT I LEARNED: Every day can be a little extraordinary if you pay attention.
One of the things I love about my job is the way that ordinary moments of the day can turn into moments of sudden beauty between the raindrops and traffic, between a walk down a cold street and a cup of coffee. Take for example these views all shot on average workdays recently. Driving in to work on a cold, wet morning. Walking past an empty courtyard that reminds me of Paris in the winter. Discovering a piece of the Berlin Wall in a vast lobby. Walking down a corridor that Alice in Wonderland would find mesmerizing. Suddenly spying an amazing city view. Finding a little grandeur between road construction and rush hour traffic on the way home.
It's easy to run on auto-pilot. I confess to doing it regularly. However, how many picture-perfect moments lurk in town and country and everyplace in between? I believe the answer is - quite a few - as these just-an-ordinary-day pictures demonstrate.
