Heavenly Bed

QUESTION: Where's my Heavenly Bed?

WHAT I LEARNED: Nobody is making beds at my house.

The heavenly bed that the hotel advertises was indeed heavenly. It was covered with fluffy pillows and a ridiculously thick comforter - all snowy white like big clouds laid neatly across the bed.

I am now back at home and I can't help but notice the absence of the heavenly bed. Not only that, I notice the absence of the heavenly-bed-maker even more. I believe that even a can't-come-close-to-the-heavenly-bed would be greatly improved by simply straightening out the tangle of blankets and sheets and organizing the pillows a bit. Having someone else besides me to do it would be better still.

As it is, one kid is still in bed, one kid raced out this morning without a backward look at his bed, and my bed - well, it's covered in laundry waiting to be put away.

It is glaringly clear that there is no heavenly bedmaker in this house.

Back to reality.
