QUESTION: Are we there yet?
WHAT I LEARNED: I need some sleep.
I'm still kind of sick but I am going to Canada for a conference. Toronto here I come - cough drops and all. I have gotten 3 hours sleep in the last 48 hours but I have finished the most important things I needed to do before traveling. I've done the grocery shopping, done so much laundry the smell of clean clothes permeates the air, packed and repacked, ran to the mall for some last minute purchase, found my missing black skirt, uploaded music to the MP3 player that we got my husband for Christmas but somehow has all my songs on it, completed all the work for a presentation I have to do, and I am even sneaking in a quick post here.
I can't wait for room service, a big comfy bed, and a few hours to recuperate before the conference starts up. I need a proper night's sleep. The best thing about this trip is that my daughter is traveling with me too. It's going to be fun - and very busy.
Tonight my son asked me to make a copy of an assignment sheet for school. He needs some virtual assistance on it this weekend. A mother's work is never done and then some.
And you know what - that's perfectly fine. Sometimes I even find I like it that way.
