Hee... You reminded me, I still have to take down the Christmas decorations tomorrow, darn it. Only I get no vacation time :(

Dang! We have to take those decorations down? Actually, I leave my lights on the house all year - and turn them on for festive times - like (ummmm) Arbor Day and (ummmm) the feast of St. Augustine. *grin*

Christmas lasts until Ephiphany and tasteful winter decorations can stay up long (so says Aunt Martha)

You are so right about time off at the end of the year. I have been taking off time at the end of the year forever. It is much easier when you have four weeks of vacation plus some personal use holidays to work with. Technically I've been off since close-of-business on Dec. 22nd and will be back at work on Jan. 4th. I did manage to put in about ten hours of work during that time, but it was mostly odd little bits of time, an hour here and an hour there, checking e-mail, etc. (and on Dec. 26th I woke up about 4 a.m. and couldn't get back to sleep so I came downstairs and booted my laptop and worked for a few hours so I felt productive).
