Thank God she wasn't hurt any worse. She's a little angry about losing her awesome ride, you're probably a lot older thinking about the what if's. Great, aware driver you've got there!

I'm glad she's alright too, being in a wreck is horrible.

Give your daughter an extra (((hug))) from me. The same thing happened to a friend of my daughter's several years ago when they were 16. She wasn't as lucky.

How frightening for you! Praise God that she wasn't hurt. I've worried about my kids more than any mother should, often forgetting that God can certainly take better care of them and watch over them better than I ever could even if given the opportunity to follow them around and give them direction every step of the way. I am so thankful that He loves them even more than I do and that He is able to protect them from all harm. I will certainly send a little thank you heavenward on her behalf.

So glad she is in one piece. I also drive a JEEP. I have for several years. I was actually rear ended twice,2 different JEEPs, with no damage to my car. The first time, by a little Saturn sports car, by a newly licensed 16 year old, and I had NO damage. Just a tailpipe which got knocked loose. Cost $39.00 to fis. His car was totaled. Similar the 2nd time. GO JEEP!

Thank goodness you reassured her that she is more important than the car. Sad to say, there are parents who would be more interested in the state of the vehicle. :-/

It is a very good thing that your daughter is okay, could of been so much worse. It is true, that life is really short, so you must live it to this fullness every single day.

Wow. I'm glad you're daughter is ok. I was in an accident before and it's not pretty. I hope your daughter feels better soon. And good luck with the jeep.

My daughter had a bad accident. She has a Toyota Echo (tiny). She did not get her licence until her senior year. She was 17 1/2. She never wanted it until then. Anyway, she turned down a street she had never been on to avoid making a left-hand turn on a busy street. Which was ok in my books because of the busy time of day. She thought she was at a 4-way stop because there wre cross walks on all 4 sides. It wasn't a 4-way. She ran smack into a SUBURBAN! at the back end of the suburban. Thank god. If she had hit the side door where a small child was sitting . . . well, who knows! Not much damage to the suburban, but, her little Echo, 2 year old Echo, was totalled. She was not hurt. Her feelings, yes, her pride, yes, her self esteme, yes. We were able to purchase another one because she loves that car. With the price increase on it, we had to pay an additional 5,000 (I think) Anyways, she is a safer driver (I hope). It was scarey. She also got a note from the DMV, saying if she got another mark on her record before she was 18, they would take away her licence. So, she was very careful. Now, in her second year of college out of state, she has her little car with her. I am SCARED TO DEATH about it, but, she'll be 20 in September -- you have to give them the benefit of doubt sometime, right? Oh, another funny part of the story, her boyfriend received a speeding ticket the same day. Out of state--he was going to visit an old friend for the weekend. It was a bad day! And where the accident happened, her boyfriend had an accident approximately 4 months later! Not in the exact same spot, but pretty darn near it! So, the two of them cannot drive on that street (says the mommas)!

Thank God she's alright. I've lost three too many friends in car accidents, it's such a relief when you know the person is ok.

How in Gods name did I miss this accident injury??? Geez, I'm am quite the LOSER! Belated, but I hope she's a lot more comfortable than she was. Sounds so painful. She is so lucky.
