Ouch! Hey my mom and dad were over the other day. My mom asked me how I voted on certain things and my dad said "HEY, you're not supposed to ask!!" and she said "Ooops". They must have talked about it. I thought of you.

Bummer about the not-miserable-enough-to-get-you-out-of-housework toothache. I wonder why it happened? Are you going to the dentist before it becomes a whopper toothache? (Practicing my 'do as your mother says' attitude). Feel much better!

Hope thinking good thoughts about your tooth makes it get all better... and, if not, hope you have a good dentist.

I agree with your basic point, the only thing is, I don't know what constitutes a good record in the senate, so I don't know how to compare. It may be that the average senator gets very few bills passed that he wrote, or with his name on it. I just don't know. I do know that things like attendance records are hard to judge, because they are often scheduled to be at several different committee meetings or floor votes at the same time, and they have to pick and go where they think they'll do the most good. I didn't say this in my rant, but I also object terribly isolates a small to their campaign rhetoric -- all of it, both sides -- in which facts that are true on their face are stated without providing the needed contact so we can understand what really happened.

Hello! I just found you through Catinasnit -- love your writing -- love the old pictures! Don't wait too long to have your tooth looked at. I had the same problem a while ago. I thought it had gotten better. I bit into a sugar cookie, and the tooth broke! Called the dentist. Upon x-ray he says, "well, you also need a root canal. Possibly 2 root canals. One on the broken tooth. One on the next tooth". So, I ended up spending $3000 for denal work! Don't wait!
