What a mess! But I'm happy it all worked out in the end. Enjoy the beach!

Did you fly out of Reagan? I hate dealing with airlines. I'm flying back from Spokane on 'Frontier' (I haven't heard of them, and haven't flown in like five years, so yes, I am really scared) and they kept trying to screw me. ANYWAY have a great time! I'm super jealous! SUPER JEALOUS!

Congratulations! Good, nimble thinking there. Get some cheesy beach reading in, and enjoy the ocean...

What excitement in an attempt to get out of town. Sounds like you and your son make a good team. A week at the beach sounds like a dream. Have fun!

Well....Hope springs eternal! Women my age, (31) generally want several components in a man, (none of which I have); The ability to purchase a home, a car, financial stability and the potential of upward mobility in a promising career. A girl just out of college is, well, let's just say, not exactly thinking about those things at the moment. So. While, I'm betting it won't turn into a serious dating situation, I'd be a fool not to give it a shot...On another note, what books are you going to be taking to the beach? I gave "No. 1 Ladies Detective Agency" a shot, and I didn't get into it, but I will pick it up again at some point and give it another try.

The Station Agent! That was one of those movies, that I wanted to see, but never got around to. I'll definitely watch it in the near future.

Hmm. "Sloppy Firsts" and "Why Girls are Weird" look interesting. (I'm looking for Chick Lit to read). Have fun!

Boy, what a mess. I can only imagine how frustrating and sad everything must have felt at the time. Glad to see you guys were able to come up enjoyable alternatives though. And while I live in a hurricane prone area myself and don't crave the sun so much, this has definitely made me think about avoiding places such as Florida in August and September.

I'm so sorry you couldn't come down and bask in the sunshine. But you definitely did the right thing - the storm hit central florida much harder than they'd predicted [http://augustdreams.diaryland.com/charleyugh.html] so I'm glad you guys were safely away from here when that happened. Have a wonderful time at the beach and you'll have to let me know when you do make it down here. There's an amazing ice cream place just down the road from my house. I'll treat you and your family to some soft serve. :) *Hug*
