I go nuts when my computer goes down too. Your description of your emotional state when computerless, is intensely evocative!

Hi. I don't doubt for a minute, that our myriad defense and law enforcement agencies are working tirelessly, and have indeed prevented attacks, but they can only do so much, you know? Someone's going to slip through the cracks eventually. My issue is, that Iraq didn't need to happen, and that there are other parts of the world, that pose a more imminent threat. (Saudi, Pakistan, China, North Korea, Afghanistan if the Taliban takes it back, etc.) Don't get me wrong, I think Moore made an overly simplistic case,(and he's a pompous ass) and I'm not totally on board with his thesis (Oil as the motivation for war), until I can see his sources...(and credibility is the same reason, I'm not a Woodward fan...Take "Veil" for example. I don't believe for a second that he put one foot in William Casey's hospital room.) I'm against Iraq on the potential of what it means in a geopolitical sense. That this administration hasn't done enough planning to make sure the region stays stable. (As an aspiring defense-wonk, I'm trained to be a pessimist). If I believed for a minute that there won't be a time when we're going to cut and run out of Iraq, I'd be all for it. (Our invasion, *did* shake up the region, even if just temporarily.) Anyways. This is turning into another journal entry. I respect your point of view, and I welcome any debate, if just for the sake of my own edification...

I wouldn't even want to consider being without my laptop. I would have a case of the vapors for sure!
