SOme of my favorite family memories are fonduing. We would have a pot of peanut oil with the sterno can under it to heat it and make our meat in it. I shudder now at the thought of how unhealthy that is. But, it was the meal that would take hours and my family would talk while our food cooked, etc. What a walk down memory lane!

we do something similar to fondu but it's with little grills and you cook meat and vegetables over it. Dad doesn't like cheese so we don't get to fondu

that sounds like fun. my kids favorite supper is junk food night. they have to have milk and cheese, fruit and veggies, and anything else they want. we dont do it often though.....

Add a little Kirsch to the fondu...makes all the difference. http://www.gourmetsleuth.com/fondue.htm

I've never actually had a fondue, but it seems enjoyable. Perhaps I'll try it someday. And forget about the eight bucks that flew out of your pocket. Every penny is worth time with the family. :)
