Easter Evening

Question: Where's my pecan egg?
What I Learned: Husbands make lousy Easter bunnies.
As Easter Sunday draws to a close, I find myself drawn to the sofa and my basket of Easter goodies. Okay, for some reason there are Mound and Almond Joy bars in there instead of the decadent pecan log with maple center I longed for but okay. I did get one standard pecan egg with stardard sticky white filling inside. It's almost gone. There are a couple large yellow marshmallow chicks, some Cadbury eggs, and some dainty caramel filled ones as well. I'd give a lot for one of those chocolate and coconut bird's nests with jelly bean eggs. That's what you get when you tell the kids to tell your husband what you want the Easter Bunny to drop into your basket. They are usually real pros at making sure dad knows what to get in any gift giving situation but the easter basket goods must have fallen off their radar.
So as I head upstairs to the joys of my Easter basket, such as it is, I will say to each of you - goodnight and don't eat too many chocolate bunnies.
