What I Learned: It's cool to join the fotolog Diaryland diaryring!

I started a Suburban Island fotolog recently at fotolog.net. Ever since, I have been amusing myself - although perhaps not always others - by carrying around my digital camera just about everywhere and capturing some small moment/view of each day as it looks from my little corner of the world. I really like the idea of snapping something ordinary or extraordinary each day and adding it to the fotolog. It adds another aspect to the diary process that is intriguing in its own right. I notice that what I photograph is very different than what I might write about.

Looking at the photolog is kind of like retracing a bread crumb trail that stays put instead of getting eaten by the local birds and squirrels - as occured with poor Hansel and Gretel as you might remember. Maybe if they had a digital camera...
