Rainy Saturday
Saturday, Nov. 30, 2002, 2:53 p.m.

A sudden rainstorm here grabbed hold of the sunshine and semi-warm weather and yanked it right out of the sky. Trees started bending, leaves started to reeling around in frantic circles, flags of pumpkins and turkeys started flapping around on flagpoles attached to the front of quiet houses. Just as quickly the whole thing was at end but tiny drops are still falling - almost invisible until you walk out the door.

It is a Saturday afternoon and the choices are:

  • Clean the family room - can you spell mess?
  • Go shopping - always a popular choice
  • Take a nap - rain makes me sleepy
  • Watch TV - if the rain doesn't do it, this will
  • Start the holiday decorating - well, it is after Halloween isn't it?
Now that I look at this list, I realize it is a TO DO list in disguise. Having realized this I think the nap will be my first priority. After that, let the chips fall where they may. Who knows, after a little nap I may rush around like a whirlwind and get the rest done or decide none of them are that important after all.

I don't get four days in a row off very often and I am feeling that luscious lazy feeling that comes with time on your hands and Monday not yet here.

You too? Don't let the weekend slip away without dawdling a bit. Its almost as good as another piece of that holiday pie and a whole lot better for you.
